Banner Cavaliers is a home-based kennel, whose primary goal is to breed and show quality, healthy Cavalier King Charles Spaniels. I am located north of metro Detroit in our dream home, built on four wooded acres with special emphasis on the dog friendly aspects.
I became besotted with cavaliers eleven years ago when seeking a loving "lap dog" to compliment my labrador retrievers who, although they couldn't have disagreed more, were too big to snuggle on the couch. I had been showing and breeding labradors for more than twenty-five years and had planned to continue for twenty-five more until the cavaliers totally stole my heart and my home. |
Getting started, I was fortunate enough to have the support of some top breeders in the U.S., Canada, and England who trusted me to have a cavalier or two of their breeding. I have finished nine Cavaliers to AKC championships and continue to show my new "kids" in both AKC and CKCSC-USA venues. |

Because I keep about ten dogs, I am able to maintain all of my cavaliers as house pets and rotating bed partners. My puppies are house raised and well socialized. Puppies that I don't keep are sold to qualified pet homes with limited registrations. As I am very concerned about health issues, all of my dogs are tested annually by veterinary specialists for heart (Mitral Valve Disease) and eye (Retinal Dysplasia) diseases and only clear dogs are used for breeding.
